I wrote a load then, then my machine crashed :(

Anyway the gist was that is fucks me off that people target Englsih football as being bad. It's not. It cleaned up years ago. There still is a hooligan element, but they are banned from English grounds, but the EU wont extend that ban to Europe, because of civil liberties, hence scenes like Marsaille in world cup 98.

10 years ago I never would have taken a gril to a football match, but now I do, it's just so different to what it was.

Ive watched football in all over England and in Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Wales, Holland and Portugal to name a couple, and by far and away the safest place to watch is the UK. We are the only country who dont cage people in.

What Italy gets away with is unbelievable. Just look at Roma. Stabbings, Racism, Murders, Corruption. Some parts of the San Siero are no go zones for police for fuck sake. Vieri had a restaurant that was burned down.

What happened in Spain is bad. but its a difficult one. John Barnes once said I just ignored it and when people saw me not rising to it it stopped. Henry et al (rightly so) get really visibly angry, which fuels it in my opinion.

In the UK they spot these people and ban them, in Italy and Spain they don't. Thats the problem.

    Anyway back to work.
