kpl: I'd go with a Nikon n100 (the d100 if you want digital)
Get a Rane mixer for those 12s
1 gb ram is standard these days. Make sure its DDR or RDRam
I really like the Canon Gl2, The xl1s is just to much for my budget. You can't go wrong with either though.
