Telstra Dome is apaprently on standby just in case.
Most people find this development and turf replacement stuff pretty boring but I actually find it really interesting.
For most people familiar with watching sport at the 'G', when you are close to ground level, you often can't see the other side of the ground due to the 'hump' which is there especially for drainage. Due to the Commonwealth Games, this hump needs to be taken out, hence the need for major drainage works. From now on, the ground will be completely flat so you'll be able to see the other side of the ground perfectly.
All the turf has been regrown and is ready to be laid when the base is up to scratch.
When the new stands are finished, the 'G' will be absolutely awesome!
