well the thign is that i just want a decent laptop that is 1) not plastic 2) not plastic 3) not plastic 4) not plastic.. 5) reliable 6) good build quality.. 7) not plastic
btw how's the lcd getting bad vibes on forums bout hte 1st and 2nd gens having crap viewing range.. any one have the current 1.33 ghz 12" models?
well personally i started this thread just to get opinions of htose hwo've been using macs for awhile.. i dont want to fork out a couple grand to find that i made a bad choice.. not to metnion i doubt playing w/ a demo system for 10 - 15 mins will give me an "enough" experience to go purchase one...
i wanted to get powerbook simply for its unix / linux compatibility well pcs can be booted iwth linux as well but for hte price of 12" pbook - there isn't anything out there that has the build quality and design of an apple..
also i live abroad from the city for post secondary education.. so i'm not naywhere close to the city and i dont have time nowadays to head out home to do demo testing at the nearest apple dealership etc.
