Go Mac, i just bought a 12" IBook and it's simply terrific, went for the 12" because of the size, it's easy to carry around with you. At home I plug it to another screen, works fine... and I'm a student to by the way.. it's an amazing little machine at that price, and it works fine when coding and doing basic image editing.. good luck!
