I have switched to Apple for about a year now and wouldn't go back to Windows even if I would get a free blowie with every use...
Don't go for the 12" - the screen is WAY TO SMALL. Treat yourself to a 1.33 Ghz 15" one. To get the best price and tons of info on Powerbooks, try http://www.powerbookcentral.com/…
Make sure to upgrade the RAM to 768 at least. For $110 you can get a 512 from here http://www.crucial.com/store/lis…
If you are thinking to upgrade to 1Gb it would imply remaining with a 256 spare or getting the 1Gb stick at a whopping $480 - it simply ain't worth it.
Apple is a bit iffy with Flash animations so it isn't the best option for intense Flash use. However, Flash Player 8 is supposed to come out soon so maybe that will improve things. Inspite of this, if you Force Quit the browser (similar to CTRL+ALT+DEL in Win), the rest of the programs are not affected and the OS won't even cough - amazing, huh?
Did I mention that driver problems are virtually inexistent and support is fabulous (my PB was picked up by the UPS guy and brought back within 24h). Mine was an ex-demo (great prices on those) so the HDD was quite hammered.
Go Mac and you won't regret it ;-).
