the notion is that by having a democratic society in iraq, instead of a dictator, the balance of power will be more evenly distributed among the different regions. this decentralization of power, coupled with the removing of a figrehead serves a twofold purpose; one less enemy of the us to barter with other nations regarding the sale and purchase of weaponry, and two, allows the us to have a vested interest in the region along with a listening post in al quaeda's backyard.
the united states will never go bankrupt. look at the aid we give to other countries. if we ever demanded payment, a lot of other countries would be bankrupted.
and i'l ask whooha to cite one example of something sadaam hussein did that was in the interest or the benefit of the citizens of iraq.
