  there is an amzing option you can use in your bookmark properties.

  for example:

  Open www.google.ch
  drag the favicon onto the bookmark bar.

  Open the properties.
  for the web adress put http://www.google.ch/search?hl=e…

  and in the text area just under it enter for example g

  Then close that property window.

  Now when you enter

  g newstoday
  It will make that search in google.

  (ok not so use full for google I agree, but might be for any other bookmark)
