on the contrary, tax cuts officially pulled the economy out of a recession, and we are entering an upward trend. unemplyment has also fallen 1.5% within the last 8 months, which is unprecidented in historical terms.
as fed chairman, greenspan sets monetary policy, ie the amount of money in circulation and the interest rates at which banks borrow. his position does not authorize him to have any effect on tax rates, increases, or cuts.
