I'm actually thrilled Dutchboy started this thread. I'm having the exact same problem. Only I HAVE the damned Epson Utility and when I launch it, it gives me NO option to add the printer to the printer list, so it doens't clean the heads. In os9 you had that tool icon in your 'print' interface to access the cleaning options. It was cake! Now it's a damned project.
