    Here's the deal. During the choruses, and sometimes the verses, many artists have layers of their own vocals. So, in order to make it sound good live, they play a track in the background that the artist has recorded earlier, and then they do the lead part live.

    So, if for instance they need to catch their breath, it looks like lipsynching. Cos it is. But not the whole song, umkay?
