mylaptop (geddit) is a Dell Latitude CPx, only a 750MHz but I bolted a CD-RW, Firewire card and some more memory on to it and it runs like a 75 Capri
I'd go with Dell again and my mate just picked up a very nice Latitude for a good price in the 'Hot Deals' section of their website
