    There should be an 'iBook' or similar profile in the list...It's usually the best starting point.

    And then you can use the custom profile thing 'Calibrate' in the Displays control panel to adjust for your environment, or tune gamma/color temp and stuff as you like and save as your custom profile..... I usually just leave on the default... looks fine to me (on both Powerbook screen, and on external Lacie 20"LCD...but maybe I have no color sense.
