im from the bottom of south island of Aotearoa
i agree with romaunt up to picton, then id go Christchurch, Queeenstown, Wanaka, (central south island) Dunedin. Who really wants to visit invercargill? haha
i recently drove with 3 friends in a van, from bottom of the south island to the top of the north island, & back down again. Just camping where ever we could find a spot, away for 3 weeks all up & only paid for a camping ground for 3 of the nights. Fantastic trip, im in the process of editing up a dvd so ill post ya some vids once its done.
