a pair of $60 knee high platform boots from the downtown army and navy when i lived in vancouver. i put them on to try them and my friend was like "you could totally walk out with those" so i did (i was probably high at the time), then we got chased down the alley by security guards but somehow got away. i never could wear those boots though, they had bad mojo.
i did that on my 21st birthday, it was four years ago tomorrow.
