very true. that pen is a gateway to hell. Our neighbors at the studio signed a lucritive deal 2 years ago with a semi-large label but very supportive. thing is they signed a 7 album deal (kiss of death). Now that they are the biggest underground act around for their genre, they are second guessing their decision. But they look at it from the point of view that relapse gives them full artistic control, which is rare. They aren't really into the whole rok-star thing but it's happening to them whether they like it or not.
