whatever we all have a difference of opinion on the terms of selling out(rolling stones "start me up" with microsoft is another that one could argue).
but i love how people just hate on a broad term like hip hop. yeah there's a lot of talentless rappers on the radio/tv but they should represent what your opinion of hip hop.
for those that dont like hip hop, thats totally cool, but dont wave your rock'n roll flag like youre on a different level from everyone else. i dont equate chingy, puffy or whatever with hip hop just like you wouldnt want maroon 5 equated with rock or good charolette equated with punk.
if you can't just accept the contradictions of music you're missing out. punk is at the same time one of the most authentic genres ever as well as one of the most pretentious. y'all are musicists, stop discriminating against different forms of music.
