DO any of you run your own business?
Apple is a business- yes- big surprise- the music industry is a business- bigger surprise- being in a band for 20 years is more than a business it's a marriage-
U2 whether any of you hip hop thugsters or Postal Service loving hipsters dig them- (I personally could care less) - U2 has sold millions of records- everyone goes gold- they have won tons a awards- and have influenced tons of musicians- they are a huge part of pop history-
Not to mention, whether you care or not, they are known for challenging the industry and being proactive- this partnership makes a hell of alot more sense than the one with Pepsi..Yes sad folks, but business' do business- if 95% of you do not use Apple products then who cares if it's U2 or Patty LaBelle..
Plus- this isn't only about U2 this is about a completely new way to market a band and their back catalog- this is a new beginning of music distribution. Whether or not you "I HATE I HATE" guys believe it- this whole itunes+ipod thing will be in history books one day.
I will bet anything that before Christams Dell and Microsoft offer simular deals with other crappy pants bands that sell records-
