in a time when everything seems to get over sentimentalised, this is truely sad. I can't imagine any other individual having such an influence on music in the uk over the last 40 years as him.
I remember my brother introducing me to his show when I was still trying to tape the top 40 off of the radio. I couldn't believe it... he didn't talk over the music and he played the whole track.
Top man, will be so missed by so many.
