I don't think that the icon looks much like a box open.. I mean I see ehat you are doing but I don't think it has enpugh visual reference...
Since packaging is 3D, I would suggets taking your mark and then making it a 3 dimensional object. Its a nice 2D start.
Also, the logo text is a bit "off the shelf" and could use some customization. And i don't really did Futura or whatever you chose for the tag. It is too bold. maybe a fine serif or something scripty.
