yeah, that's one of those situations where a single band kind of created a genre.
i generally don't even admit to ska appreciation after all that 90s stuff (my studio one / trojan lp collection is hidden in my closet).
however, although some of it might sound cheesy to you, i would suggest The Selector, Bad Manners, The Beat, and maybe Madness.
also, you should continue your lee perry studies. i would also suggest going deep into the black ark.
