i dont know.
i think a lot of the work begins looking terribly similar and showy. plus, they don't do anything interesting with typography(it usually becomes an afterthought in the work)mainly i become put-off when i come across a site that's so intricate and elaborate.
let the work do the talking, i say.
i think the older stuff is their strongest.
