my love-hate relationship with iceland:
its a magical place. it really is. i say that not in a "o yea its so like bjork's songs!", or like "o its so mysterious and undiscovered!"
just thinking about reykjavik gives me the creeps. primarily because i went there alone. my first suggestion: dont go alone. your gf will die in loneliness. either that or will be harased by drunkards at 3 am. (its a whole different world at night, trust me).
its also a super expensive place. you decide to go to those "mysterious" nice places, and itll cost you a cattle. and the thing is, you CANT go anywhere unless you take tours or rent a car, which costs you 3 cattles.
but its magical. i've never been to a city where people yell "hi" to you on the street when they are up in their apartments.
