This happens every year - around the world.
You can't control people - no matter what you try... This tragedy has nothing to do with the team or the sport... it has everything to do with foolish actions of rioting uncrontrolable people and the trigger happy cops.
NY has had to deal w/this... L.A. and especially Chicago in past years.
Just like football in Europe... they have to deal with out-of-control people also.
The only way you won't ever have this situation is to stop sports all-together, and that's just stupid.
The teams shouldn't have to take any pre-responsibility by asking their fans to 'be nice'.
People should be held accountable for their own actions... and should know better.
There is no responsibility on the Redsox or any other team for that matter when it comes to fan riots. This responsibility belongs to those individuals who act like idiots.
