If you have to do show a portfolio i would try to avoid pdf or any web format, but.... make one incase you are somewhere and need to show your work online... i would just stick with a simple expensive black portfolio, like 15x19 or so, not too gigantic else you can't put it on a table, 10-20 large prints of only your best work, don't do the shiny aluminum cases cause it will scratch the desk of the creative director your talking to and for sure you won't get the job.
just a thought...
ps: that's right, i did say a simple expensive black case cause people can tell the difference and it also reflects what you think about your work...
