  The answer you end up with is always a multiplie of 10 as someone already said. Ex:

  I choose 11:
  11= 1+1 = 2 = 9
  or
  47=4+7=11=36
  or
  99=18=1+8=81

  Try any number and you'll see that it always compensates back to a multiple of 9.

  Try 10 or 11 or 12 or 13
