Aside from the usual Tate Modern, Hampstead Heath, Hoxton excursions - try one of these if you have the time:
Take the District Line to Richmond and walk to the river. It's beautiful, has great restaurants and you can ring and run Mick Jagger and Pete Townends Houses.
Also - try a day trip to either Brighton or Oxford. Only 1 hr away (minus any of the usual train shenenigans) and are both gorgeous, fun and great for food & shopping.
