fax was an example, regardless of that a logo has to work for multiple types of media, not just websites, a basic logo that can be scaled is a great starting point, and if you need to make changes to it to fit a media theme, ok, but the logo itself (in my opinion) shoud be able to be reproduced in 1 colour + white
