what matters is your visibility near the clients, not near other designers and the who compete and check that contest.. if you eventually end up winning, the only thing you'll get (besides the prize) are some emails saying Cool from noob designers..
if you want to explain your clients your site won a prize, that's ok.. we all can go to coolestwebdesign.com and get listed there.. - it's all the same to your client...
or.. unless you are a student all you got all time in your hands before May..
personally i think it's uselesss. the best you can get is some recognition and a thousand hits to waste your bandwidth...
