People go back to work. The fact that you lost so much time and energy about this new 2A project will be a reason for new "I don't have work bitchin" thread. Everybody is working for themselves. Stop looking at other people's work and start building your portfolios and clients. By getting good clients you will maybe establish new standard that people will copy or admire on some other NT-like site. And that's how you deal with 2A and everyone else for that matter.
It's so easy to waste time commenting, so easy to wake up and hear that sound "Newstoday" and spend all day posting shit like this, but it's so hard to actually WORK!
WORK, that's how you gain respect!
