Drivers are just as useless up here too. Toronto is auto insanity some days.

We were in our car yesterday waiting to merge onto a busy street. Traffic was bumper to bumper. Each time traffic moved a bit another bozo would pull into the intersection blocking us from pulling out.

As we were waiting a boy and his dad started walking across the crosswalk. Cars are supposed to completely yeild to pedestrians on city crosswalks. The boy was carrying a plastic bag that said happy birthday on it. It was pretty full of stuff. As they stepped onto the street to walk between the barely moving cars, a souvenir hockey figurine fell out of his plastic bag. He screamed "Oh No... Dad!!!" and went to pick it up. The bozo in the 200 tonne truck didn't see him and kept inching forward... The dad noticed this... grabbed his son and stepped back onto the sidewalk but not before the boy dropped the plastic bag in the street.

The truck continued to move forward... completely oblivious to the people in the crosswalk or the cars in the intersection trying to merge. CRUNCH went the bag full of plastic toys which I'm guessing was an entire hockey team worth of figurines. Probably a birthday gift given that the bag said 'happy birthday'.
