I can't believe what I'm reading in this thread..

This is so sad.. Im trying to understand it but I can't. Am I the only one here that is watching the big picture here?

I guess it's all a matter on how people are raised in this world, their circle of friends, family, the violence that are being exposed to as a child.

I can't seem to find another explanation.

How can anyone think that you can "feel safer" by having a gun at home? safer from what? from who? Why do you live in this paranoia state?.
Picture this, Typical family, mother, father, and 2 kids.
What will happen if for any reason one of the kids put his innocent hands on the gun inside the locker, finds the bullets loads the gun and just playing, ends up shooting her sister (we all know this has happned before) now picture you, as a man of the family, wouldnt you give anything in the world, to make time go back and get rid of that gun before that accident happens? Do you still think it was safer to have a gun at home?

The world needs to understand that a gun is made to kill. Not to make you feel safer.

Why the same people that think having a weapon at home its for safety only? but then when we hear another country has a nuclear bomb, we need to make that country get rid of it? why?

According to that way of thinking, that country is exercising their right to have a waepon "for protection" right?

Im glad to hear that hear that in brazil that law came out, and I hope it get enforced with all the strenght of the law.

For anyone that think that guns are for safety, I will recomend them to watch "city of god" and pay attention to what has happened in brazil when inside the favelas, it was very easy to get a gun, even if you where 8 years old.

    Peace
