  I somewhat agree with you macaso... but think of it this way.

  Solomon built the temple out of gold and great materials to be pleasing and worthy of God.
  God also told us to do everything we whole heartedly.

  Both apply to a website in a way. make it worty of God, do it to the best of your abilities. The design i agree shouldnt be the FOCUS.. but i think it is great to use your talents to do something worthy of Him weather it be a website or building a church.
