well rest assured dutchboy, in holland cases are based on reason and fairness. so you can't sue a microwave company for not mentioning in the manual that you cannot use it to dry your pet or for storing your kids. or, more in our field, can't be sued for $1,000,000 if the jobs worth is only $5,000.
the main difference between most european laws and american laws regarding business in a very broad sense is that american law is based on distrust (you have to exclude all possibilities) while for instance dutch law is based on trust. just look at the difference in contracts between the us and holland. you and i can do business with eachother with a contract that's just 1 A4 instead of an entire book of A4's in the states.
