That's kinda bollox in a lotta ways. I'm extremely poor even if i'm in the top whatever percentage and there's billions poorer than me. Why? Because it only asks for what you earn not what goes out. The crippling debt i'm in, the student loans/credit cards i have to pay back, the exorbitant rent i have to pay in London, the price of food in this city, the cost of transport to work - to merely live makes me as poor as a poor person in a poor country. The amount of hours i have to work just to survive, even though i have an infinitely better living standard, makes me feel only slightly less exploited than a child prostitute in Rio (joke). I'm not even gonna go into how much money i keep having to borrow from my brother just to keep going. If i was earning this much in ghana, i'd be God. But i'm not. I'm seriously considering prostitution and drug dealing.
