    yeah, ofcourse people made fun of him. especially about his beerdrinking habits..

    and his songs were written for the people..the man in the street, so to speak.

    but i just saw a documentary (he's all over Dutch TV tonite) in NOVA and they showed footage of him doing rock, yes, ROCK&ROLL (with late Herman Brood on the piano)...and damn, he was so good at it, people even said he should have moved into that area of music.. but still, he did his own thing.. a straightforward guy, he liked and respected people, and almost everyone (sometimes be it in silence) respected him..

    note: The newspaper for the intellectuals, the high-cultured 'NRC Handelsblad' has even put his face real large on the frontpage and wrote a really big article (special even?) about 'Dre.
