Dude, living in venice is great if:
You are single. Lot's o honeys on the weekend.
You aren't afraid of crime. While living there, had my car broken into on the street right in front of my place. Right on N. Venice. Also, about 3 weeks ago, my friend saw 2 people die right in fron of his window. Gang violence. Drive-by. Scarred my boy for a long time.
Impossible traffic on weekends. Too many people coming there to enjoy the beach on weekends. It can be nice though, if you have no desire to go anywhere via car and you have a balcony that overlooks N. Venice or another main traffic area. You see so many honeys driving to the beach.
I would go Manhatten or Hermosa if possible. Same deal, less violence.
