a friend of mine make submarine documentries for a living, and has toured many subs along the way. I asked him recently if the submariners come across anything "unidentifiable" when they're deep. He was like, "Oh ya. Often. Sometimes they track these beasts and they totally evade their tracking radar".
Frightening.
