unfortunately, there's no way for you to track them down, unless thy were really stupid.
Sadly enough, it is possible to send mail from any domain you wish, using old sendmail servers.
Anyone can send mail from with relative ease.
So, yeah, not really much you an do. Talk to your domain provider and see if they have any records, but it's quite had to track someone down.
All you can do is alert people that it's not you :)
