peace of mind for the passengers lara. the last one i slept through. oh well.

i'm not scared of flying at all. it it's my time it's my time.

my cousin was on a flight back from vegas with his wife who was 6 months pregnant. mid flight the right engine went out with a loud bang. the plane shook all to hell and dropped altitude. he said everyone was screaming and crying. he and his wife sat there and held hands and prayed. the pilot came on and said they lost an engine and nothing to worry about. the remaining engine had more than enough power to fly the plane. he then said they were going to make a routine emergency landing anyways in wherever.

of course flying with only one engine they couldn't fly as fast so it took them 45 minutes to get to the airport, and another 15 on the decent. he said the plane was deathly silent, with the occasional whimper and person crying... most were praying. the plane landed safe and he told me the story a few days later. kinda scary but it doesn't even cross my mind when i fly.
