    There are nicer Breitlings than those, imo.

    You can say that it's pretentious and extravagant, but it just depends on what you like and what makes you happy, and if you have the money. Some might spend the cash on a trip to Aspen, others would buy this watch. To each his own, both have merit for different people.

    They do last a lifetime, so it is an investment for the long term. My father still has an Omega that is a handmedown from 40 years ago.

    If you like watches (and I do), look on eBay for some crazy deals.
