best route to CALI

just made the trip a couple weeks ago (and may make it again next week).
I made the trip from Lowell, MA to Sacramento, CA in 77 hours (including sleep time, gas, food, etc.) I don't think you'll make it that quickly unless you're crazy.
I went 90 to 80. Not the best route this time of year. I got really lucky. Just saw a little snow in IOWA. Got a little iffy in Wyoming.
No route is warm, never got above 30 or so until I hit California (was/is in the 60s).
If I do go again next week I'll be driving a UHaul this time and will head the more southerly route 90 to ohio, down through cincinnati, missouri and oklahoma and then across 10 (?) hitting Texas, New Mexico, Arizon and then up California. Longer, but a little less chance of horrific weather.
