just watch the energy saving settings, they are different for laptops. don't mess with anything that effects the processor. they are also meant for the speed hard drives that are in a laptops which are much slower then a the iMac's hard drive which runs at 7200rpms. laptops are more in the 4200rpm range. i wouldn't advice it but an OS is an OS so just becareful and you should be good.
