I actually like derek for the fact that he's having a great time, he enjoys what he does and for fucks sake he's young (he's 19 right?), so for sure he;s gonna have the 'world is mine' attitude and fair play cos I think surely we were all a little attitude at that age, admittedly Derek; you need to calm it and just stop bragging like youre some legend because you're not, I could piss all over you, but then I've just turned 30, when I was your age I had barely even touched a computer so I'm sure that if you learnt to stop bragging (which you actually seemed to have let up on) and realise that you are caught up in 'the society of the spectacle' (yes that means reading) and if your friends (sean I'm sure you could be cool but you are not a bad gangsta so let yourself come through and people may respect you for it; hate breeds hate) and then we can all get along.
As it stands is just ridiculous, designers are not mafia, we are generally humble dudes that spend a lot of time sitting at computer screens working on what we feel is important, silly little type details, ridding pages of widows, bad leading and nasty gutters, not dealing crack or shooting pimps or people that 'dis' us; we are regular people, we have other interests, other lives, we have histories. You do not know us. We do not know you; the difference is that the info you feed us is really what is painting you a cartoon image which I am hoping is not the actuality.
Keep it real, most people here are cool.
