i think you're a wack kid who has an ego problem. i wish i didn't have to deal with you, but since i visit NT way too much, i do.
the reason why i preach about young designers is because that's what i am. by all means, you're older than me with less to show for it, you should have more humility than i.
as far as doing your own shit, good for you. you did a stylists website, congratulations. did YM get you that gig? (no) will YM bring you any serious gigs? no. will YM make you extremely marketable to 13 year old girls across America? yes. so why not take this shit to a board full of 13 year old girls? and the fact that you chose to bring my situation into this is kinda silly to me. have you ever heard of Werkburo? do you have any idea as to what we're up to? (no).. so please do not speak on what you do not know.
as far as me "working for somebody else" - you're correct. i took this job to learn. i'd never worked in a big agency atmosphere before, and thought that the opportunity was too good to pass up.. especially since they were so generous as to relocate me down here. i'd like to see you work here derek, i'd like to see how you react to the everyday pressure to deliver. this is a company of no egos - and i really wonder how long you'd last with yours.
