hmmm, tough one... personally, i wouldn't push it.
i'm sure the anxiety level is built up, but you want to be professional. the call you made on monday showed that you are interested, so you may want to leave it at that.
you could also send a post-interview email or a thank you card telling them it was a pleasure meeting them, blah, blah, blah...
