its deffently a clean the lens problem. if you talk to sony they will charge you a hundred or so dollars to "fix" it, but I imagine your getting the disk error problem. Save some money and do it yourself, its real easy takes about 5 minutes to do. You just need a phillips head screw driver or 2. Look up PS2 lens cleaning on google, or email me and I will give you the instrutions. If the cleaning doesn't work might as well buy another for the amount they'll charge you.
