Yeah, I agree on this one. I'm a salaried employee where I work, but that's kind of whacked out. It doesn't mean that an employer CAN'T pay overtime for those employees, it just means they don't HAVE TO.
COuld be worse. They could change the labor laws to be like Georgia's. Here, you don't have to have a specific reason to fire someone. HAppens where I work all the time. IF they don't like you, they wait to catch you....in fact one girl got caught in the middle of a personal phone call, was told to get off. She did. The was back on it again...got busted. The boss had some other chick witness him fireing the one girl. Crazy. I'm not diggin' that at all. It may be great for the under 23k crowd...I understand that they can use it greatly...but once again, the middle class is getting fucked.
I may actually be voting for Mr. Kerry...
