Also try putting some sewing machine oil or vaseline along the Laser arms. Mine was giving me a problem with grinding noises and not reading discs, this fixed it right up. Be careful when you open it up. The power supply has a ribbon attached to the lid, watch out you don't snap it when taking the top off. I found a really good site with step by step images showing you how to open it up and clean the lase and oild the arms etc... I think I bookmarked it at home, I'll check later on.
