a couple of years back I played a game for like 9 hours straight, then shut it off for a bout an hour. Then I put it back on to play and the system couldn't recognize it, nor any other games nor any dvd's either. It just became worthless. I never found out why, but I was in the middle of the game and couldn't stand not playing it. So I bought a new one the same day.
